Stream Report for June 9, 2008
STONE MOUNTAIN AND MITCHELL RIVER
Delayed harvest came to an end this past Saturday. Most of the fishing on the Mitchell is pretty much over for awhile. There are always a few wary fish that make it through the masacre but not many. Stone Mountain still will have decent fishing in the wild trout creeks such as widow\'s creek, garden creek and basin creek.

THE NEW RIVER
The New is still fishing well despite the hot weather. Early and late are the best bets during these hot days. Leggy poppers and baitfish imitation should do the trick and look for shady areas and riffles.
